Beginning
Life with Isla started April 26, 2009. She was due to arrive May 13, but she decided to come early. My water broke while I was organizing clothes and Marc was trying to put the pack and play together without directions. From the time my water broke until Isla was born was 18 hours. I won't go into detail, but it was back labor (I would highly recommend an epidural) and although she was small, her head wasn't. Isla Rosemary was born at 3:25 PM on Sunday, April 26, 2009 weighing in at 6 lb. 9.5 ounces, 19 inches long with a head circumference of 13 3/4 inches. Although her first Apgar was a 5, she quickly rebounded to a 9. At the time I have started this blog, she is now 8 months, around 21 pounds, about 26 inches long and at last check her head was still huge-17 1/4.
